Timing is everything in many areas of life, including those ironic situations such as that which recently confronted the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation). As Publius points out here, the BBC Pubahs repeatedly try to claim the typical MSM objectivity in their reporting, that they have no bias (oh, really!?), and that the world as they see it really is the world in truth. Now an internal study calls that into question, giving most of the rest of the rational world an I-told-you-so moment. But the even more delicious irony comes when, right on the heels of this story, it is revealed that they have deemed a story of British heroism "too positive" for the consumption of their audience, so, heaven forbid they allow it into their delusion of what’s going on in the real world. Reality shatters bubbles too easily! One would think that after the farce Britain has recently endured with Iran, such a story would be welcome. Unfortunately, it seems David’s lament is all too applicable at least figuratively (the original lament was at least the consequence of death in battle) to our British cousins: "How are the mighty fallen!" (2 Samuel 1:25)
